Construction update February
1 Cooperage Yard building exterior is nearing completion with the glass-reinforced concrete panels along the ground floor being installed. 2 Dane’s Yard exterior is now complete.
Public realm works across Dane’s Yard are well in progress with granite paving being installed along the riverside walk. Final utility connections for the buildings are being installed to allow for paving works to progress in time for the anticipated opening to the public in March 2020. Granite seating surrounding the Dane’s Yard tower will be installed in time for the opening.
SUGAR HOUSE ISLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL
Final consultation with the LLDC to seek planning approval for the school is underway and construction is due to commence in Spring this year.
Public realm works are the current focus for Botanical Mews, our first residential homes. Waterproofing is currently being applied to the courtyard of the riverside block, in preparation for paving to take place at the end of February. Kerbs and the concrete sub-base are being laid on Cloud Street, and installation of the paving blocks will start at the beginning of February.
Cladding to Soapmaker Mews (our second residential plot) is nearing completion with the final panels arriving to site. One of the cranes used to build Soapmaker Mews is planned to be dismantled at the end of February.
Meetings are being held with the designer and manufacturer of Matilda’s Bridge in order to finalise design and the construction sequence. The cross-laminated timber bridge is due to be installed mid 2020 and will connect the residential blocks on the east side of the development with Three Mills Green.
OFFICES AND COMMERCIAL UNITS ON HIGH STREET
