CAFÉS & RESTAURANTS
There’s plenty on offer if you're looking for somewhere to have lunch out or to organise a coffee meeting in the day. As well as the bars and restaurants within Dane’s Yard, there are many local independents – see a selection below – as well as the 65 restaurants in and around Westfield Stratford.
The Carmelite Café is in a former nunnery and serves fabulous coffees and delicious lunches. Next door is the Bow Arts gallery which hosts regularly-changing art exhibitions. Tucked around the corner is a secluded garden square to read and relax in a sunny lunch break.
The View Tube
This relaxed café serves a range of delicious freshly-prepared food in a series of converted containers with outdoor seating. The View Tube’s elevated position on the Greenway gives it great views across the Olympic Park and it’s next to a cycle hire shop for those inspired to take a tour of the 500-acre green space.
This is an excellent place to get brunch or lunch, on a deck over the river, looking across at the Olympic Park.
Set by the canal and led by a lovely team of people, this café serves coffee & cake and lunches during the day before hosting events and live music in the evening. Local workers enjoy its fast WiFi connection and big tables with sockets as well as its great atmosphere.
Old Town Bistro
With floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for maximum natural light, the Old Town Bistro is the perfect place for working while enjoying a great cup of coffee and a cake. The Bistro serves freshly-prepared lunches too and will deliver food to local offices.
